You can apply online quickly and easily on our website -- and even pay your application fees online. All you will need to do is mail us your audition video. If you prefer, you can still apply by mail with a paper application, which you may download.

Applications must be received by the following dates to guarantee full consideration.
Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a rolling, space-available basis.

Application fees can be now paid with a credit card. Make checks payable to the International Conducting Workshop. Only one application and application fee is needed to apply for all workshops. If paying by foreign check, please add $25 processing fee.
Audition Video Information

The audition video should be an accurate representation of your conducting. Ideally, it should include at least three selections of contrasting styles. Each selection should be no longer than three minutes and may be as short as thirty seconds. Please order the selections with the strongest selection first. Selections do not need to start at the beginning of a piece or movement.
It is not mandatory that the applicant conduct a full orchestra - two pianos or string quintet with piano is acceptable. The audition video should be recorded so we see the front of the conductor, ideally from an angle and not straight on.
Clearly label your audition video and media jacket/case with your name, contact information and repertoire selections with the start time for each selection. Audition videos will be returned to the applicant only if an envelope with adequate postage is included with the original application and audition video. Please do not send valuable original footage.
