Jieyeon Schleicher

Violist Jieyeon Schleicher is new to the Chicago area in ’24. Her thirty years of experience as an orchestral and chamber musician includes performances with numerous orchestras such as the Peoria Symphony, the Quad City Symphony, the Illinois Symphony, the Heartland Festival Orchestra, the Pine Mountain Music Festival Orchestra, the Conducting Masterclass and Workshop Series Lab Ensemble and the Houston Civic Symphony. Her teachers have been Li-Kuo Chang, Richard Young, and Emmanuel Vardi. She holds a MM and a DMA in viola performance from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Arts in Viola Performance from Ewha University in Seoul, Korea.
